Here to Love

Littleton Family Services began when two longtime Littleton residents, Missy and Megan, decided to take action in their neighborhood.  Over the years living in Old Littleton, they both observed how much need there was in their community. In May of 2019, the first, “Nourish Your Neighbors,” food and clothing bank took place at Ascension Lutheran Church, serving 23 total individuals that month.  With a team of dedicated volunteers, a lot of determination and a ton of passion, Missy and Megan continued running these events every month.

In the Spring of 2020 when the pandemic put a halt to all large gatherings, “Food for Friends,” was dreamed up and longtime Littleton Family Services clients were connected with local volunteers.  A small and mighty team of drivers shopped for and delivered fresh food and pantry staples to families with hopes of supplementing the needs of hungry families. Thanks to this program, LFS has been able create community and help residents form a friendship with someone they may not have otherwise had the opportunity to.  We are deeply grateful for the support and outpouring of love from the Littleton community and know that together, we can do so much to lift each other up!
